Senior Data Engineer

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize large-scale data platforms powering products across brands like Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and Manheim. You will build robust data pipelines, streaming solutions, and analytics-ready datasets on cloud infrastructure to support advanced insights for dealers and consumers. Partner with data scientists, product, and engineering teams to ensure high data quality, reliability, and performance while championing best practices in data modeling, governance, observability, and automation in a modern, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines
• Develop and optimize data models and warehouses for analytics and reporting
• Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to deliver data solutions
• Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of cloud data platforms
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards
• Automate deployment, testing, and operations using modern Dev
• Ops practices
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and drive root-cause analysis
