Position Title: Data Center Technician

Location: Canton, MS

Duration: 12-Month Contract

About the Opportunity

Join our dynamic and growing team as a Data Center ID Technician in Canton, MS! This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking for hands-on experience in data center environments, structured cabling, and server installations.

Key Responsibilities

• • Server & Network Equipment Setup: Oversee daily installations of servers and network devices, structured cabling, and capacity management.
  • Cabling Infrastructure: Work with cable vendors to install, inspect, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling, including patch panels and patch cords.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all data center installations align with established installation practices and standards.
  • Status Reporting: Maintain communication on project and task status through our ticketing system, status reports, email, and Slack.
  • Workflow Management: Prioritize and manage tasks in the ticketing system to fulfill customer requests and project goals.
  • Documentation: Accurately document issues, processes, and changes to maintain clear and organized data center records.

Requirements

• • Travel: Up to 40% local travel, with occasional trips outside the region.
  • Physical Demands:
  • • Walk job sites, sometimes on uneven terrain.
    • Work at heights and on ladders safely.
    • Stand and perform tasks for an entire 8-hour shift.
    • Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds; group lifts required for heavier items.
  • Availability: Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, with after-hours support as needed
