Summary:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our AI Business Development team at Meta. You will play a crucial role in driving partnerships to support our AI products. You will be responsible for establishing new partnerships in the AI ecosystem. You will connect technical research needs with external partners between technical research needs and external partners and partnerships from term sheet negotiations through deal closure. We are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in AI and a variety of partnerships, enjoys working with product and research teams and has experience navigating complex cross-functional teams to achieve their goals.

Required Skills:

Business Development Manager, AI Partnerships Responsibilities:

  1. Defining, negotiating, and closing high-impact partnerships

  2. Work closely with product, research, and engineering teams to understand the technical requirements, define priorities, and identify key opportunities

  3. Leverage and expand contacts in the industry to unlock partnership opportunities

  4. Conduct market research and analysis to understand the data landscape, identifying emerging trends and partnerships opportunities in the AI ecosystem

  5. Working cross-functionally with legal, marketing, finance, product, and engineering teams to negotiate deal terms, drive special projects, advocate internally for partners, and educate on industry trends

  6. Provide regular reports and updates on partnership activity and performance

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or related fields

  2. Experience leading cross-functional teams to orchestrate and complete deals, including experience interpreting legal documents and working with attorneys to complete agreements

  3. Experience in developing and driving business strategies and initiatives with executive stakeholders

  4. Experience in working closely with product and engineering teams

  5. Experience developing working relationships inside and outside an immediate team or partner organization

  1. Demonstrated track record of navigating cross-functional teams to achieve business goals

  2. Experience analyzing data and deriving actionable business insights

  3. Experience in managing and driving AI initiatives from inception to launch successfully with partners

  4. Experience in AI products and technologies such as AI models, use cases, and systems

  5. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

  6. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

  7. Experience with AI technologies and working collaboratively with product teams and multiple partners

  8. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

  9. Demonstrated presentation and communication skills

  10. Analytical and problem-solving skills

  11. Knowledge of the AI ecosystem and competitive landscape including the technology, what other companies are doing, industry alliances and broader government and regulatory positions

Public Compensation:

$193,000/year to $269,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
