Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the overall health, performance, and availability of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, and related systems.
  • Configures, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots LAN, WAN, VLAN, wireless, firewall, and VPN technologies.
  • Supports Microsoft Windows Server, virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, and related IT infrastructure systems.
  • Researches and troubleshoots network and infrastructure problems and determines the appropriate course of action for recovery, repair, or escalation.
  • Assists with cybersecurity configuration, monitoring, patching, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Maintains network and infrastructure monitoring tools, documentation, diagrams, inventories, and configuration records.
  • Performs routine diagnostics and preventive maintenance to identify potential deficiencies within the IT infrastructure.
  • Works with third-party engineers and vendors on troubleshooting, upgrades, implementations, and projects.
  • Participates in infrastructure improvements and capital projects and provides technical assistance to other IT personnel.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in network, systems, or IT infrastructure roles. Position level will be determined based on experience and technical qualifications.
  • Strong experience with Cisco LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies; Nexus/NX-OS experience preferred.
  • CCNA-level knowledge required; current CCNA certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPN, and network segmentation.
  • Experience with enterprise firewall and network security technologies; Cisco ASA and/or Firepower experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Working knowledge of VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V, enterprise storage, server hardware, and backup/recovery technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Participation in the on-call rotation and after-hours support is required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business, including weekends and holidays.
