Job Description

Vantor is hiring a Staff Systems Engineer to lead architecture and product engineering for modern web and data driven solutions. You will design scalable, cloud native systems, guide implementation across services, APIs, and infrastructure, and ensure reliability, security, and performance. Partnering closely with product and client stakeholders, you'll translate business needs into technical roadmaps, run architecture reviews and PoCs, and mentor engineers in craftsmanship and automation. This role suits a hands on technical leader who enjoys complex systems, agile delivery, and collaborating in a low ego, learning focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and evolution of large scale distributed systems and cloud architectures for client products
  • Collaborate with product managers to translate business needs into technical roadmaps and system designs
  • Define and enforce engineering standards, reliability, security, and performance best practices
  • Guide end to end implementation across backend, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure automation
  • Conduct architecture reviews, technical spikes, and Po
  • Cs for new platforms and services
  • Mentor engineers, provide code and design reviews, and champion craftsmanship and automation
  • Partner with clients in agile ceremonies to refine requirements and validate technical approaches
