IT Applications Manager

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an IT Applications Manager to lead the strategy, delivery, and support of critical enterprise applications in a global, highly regulated healthcare environment. You will partner with business, R&D, and quality teams to translate complex requirements into secure, compliant, and scalable solutions that enable innovation in diagnostics, devices, and nutrition. Responsibilities include roadmap ownership, integrations, upgrades, vendor and SLA management, and oversight of incident, change, and release processes. You will mentor a small team, champion best practices, support audits, and drive continuous improvement across Abbott's application landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, implementation, and lifecycle management of key enterprise applications
• Partner with business and R&D teams to translate requirements into application solutions
• Oversee system configuration, integrations, and upgrades across global environments
• Ensure application security, compliance, validation, and audit readiness in regulated settings
• Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and application support processes
• Drive incident, problem, and change management for supported applications
• Develop and maintain application roadmaps aligned with business and IT strategy
• Lead and mentor application analysts/engineers, promoting best practices
• Monitor performance, optimize stability, and improve user experience
• Support continuous improvement, innovation, and data-driven decision making
