Process Development & Automation Engineer II

Abbott Laboratories seeks a Process Development & Automation Engineer II to design, optimize, and automate processes supporting biopharmaceutical and diagnostic production. Responsibilities

• Design and optimize automated processes for biopharmaceutical production and lab workflows
• Develop, validate, and scale-up process automation solutions from concept to implementation
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve yield, reliability, and compliance
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and validation protocols for automated systems
• Analyze process data to identify improvements, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
• Ensure processes meet regulatory, safety, and GMP requirements
• Support technology transfers and integration of new equipment and control systems
• Provide technical training and support to operations and engineering teams
