Lead Software Engineer

Cox Automotive seeks a Lead Software Engineer to architect, build, and scale cloud-native applications that power our telecommunications and media solutions. You'll lead a high-performing engineering squad, drive technical direction, and ensure quality and reliability for platforms used by dealers and consumers worldwide. Partner with product, data, and DevOps teams to design APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems. Mentor engineers, champion best practices, and support a people-first, inclusive culture focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering measurable business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable, cloud-native applications and services
• Define technical architecture, patterns, and standards for complex systems
• Collaborate with product, data, and Dev
• Ops teams to deliver secure, reliable platforms
• Mentor and coach engineers, conducting code reviews and technical guidance
• Ensure high code quality through testing, automation, and CI/CD practices
• Drive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across platforms
• Contribute to roadmap planning and translate business needs into technical solutions
