Sr Software Engineer

Cox Automotive seeks a Sr Software Engineer to build scalable, cloud-native platforms powering next-generation automotive and media solutions. You'll design, develop, and optimize high-availability services and APIs that support brands like Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book. Collaborate with product, data, and UX teams to deliver secure, reliable features in an Agile environment. Responsibilities include hands-on coding, code reviews, test automation, performance tuning, and mentoring engineers. You'll leverage modern CI/CD, telemetry, and DevOps practices to ship high-quality software that shapes the future of digital retail and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native services and APIs for automotive and media platforms.
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code and enforce high standards through code reviews.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and data teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security for high-traffic systems.
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, resolving incidents and performing root cause analysis.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, sharing best practices and guiding technical growth.
