Edward Jones seeks a Senior Security Engineer to safeguard critical financial systems and client data. In this role, you will design and implement secure architectures, harden cloud and on prem environments, and lead threat modeling for key platforms. You will evaluate and deploy security tools, manage SIEM alerts, and drive incident response and root cause analysis. Partnering with infrastructure, development, and compliance teams, you will ensure regulatory alignment, embed security by design, and mentor junior engineers while supporting a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure architectures for cloud and on prem systems
- Harden servers, networks, and applications to protect client and firm data
- Lead threat modeling and security risk assessments for critical platforms
- Administer and optimize security tools, including SIEM, EDR, and IAM solutions
- Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts and incidents
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive remediation and prevention efforts
- Ensure alignment with financial regulations and internal security policies
- Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and compliance teams on secure solutions
- Develop and maintain security standards, runbooks, and technical documentation
- Mentor junior security staff and champion security best practices across teams
