Senior Manager, Development Platform

CSL is seeking a Sr. Manager, Development Platform to lead the strategy, delivery, and optimization of our global software development platform enabling biotherapy and vaccine R&D. You will own modern CI/CD, SDLC tooling, and cloud-native platforms that support product teams across CSL Behring, Seqirus, and other units. Responsibilities include defining platform roadmaps, driving adoption of DevOps practices, partnering with engineering and security, and ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance in a regulated biotech environment. You will lead a small team, manage vendors, and champion automation, observability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and roadmap for CSL's software development platform supporting global R&D and product teams
• Own and evolve CI/CD, SDLC tooling, and cloud-native platforms to improve delivery speed and quality
• Drive adoption of Dev
• Ops, automation, and observability practices across engineering teams
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and compliance in a regulated biotech environment
• Partner with engineering, security, QA, and infrastructure teams to align platform capabilities with business needs
• Manage and mentor a small platform engineering team, fostering continuous learning and collaboration
• Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets for platform tools and cloud services
• Define and track KPIs for platform performance, adoption, and developer productivity
• Establish standards, best practices, and guardrails for development, testing, and release processes
• Contribute to technology strategy and architecture decisions related to development tooling and cloud platforms
