Michigan Farm Bureau seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, highly available networks that power our agriculture-focused operations across Michigan. In this role you'll architect and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and firewall solutions, ensuring reliable connectivity for offices, remote staff, and member services. You'll monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead upgrades and security hardening. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN infrastructure.
- Administer and secure routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor network health, analyze logs and alerts, and resolve complex connectivity issues.
- Plan and lead upgrades, migrations, and capacity improvements across the network environment.
- Implement and maintain network security controls, segmentation, and best practices.
- Support disaster recovery, redundancy, and business continuity network strategies.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams on projects and incident response.
- Document network designs, configurations, and standards, maintaining accurate diagrams and inventories.
- Mentor and provide technical escalation support to junior network and support staff.
- Partner with business stakeholders to align network solutions with member and organizational needs.
