Vantor seeks a Principal Applied Scientist to lead high impact data and ML solutions for modern web and cloud products. You will own end to end model development-from problem framing and data exploration to deployment and monitoring-using Python, ML frameworks, and cloud platforms. Partnering with engineering and product teams, you'll design scalable ML services, experimentation frameworks, and analytics that drive measurable business outcomes. You'll set technical direction, mentor teammates, and collaborate closely with clients in a low ego, agile, learning focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of applied machine learning and data science solutions for client software products
- Translate ambiguous business problems into measurable, testable models and experiments
- Develop, deploy, and optimize production ML pipelines on modern cloud platforms
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to integrate models into scalable web applications and APIs
- Own end to end lifecycle of models, including data exploration, feature engineering, validation, and monitoring
- Guide technical direction, standards, and best practices for ML, data, and experimentation
- Mentor data scientists and engineers, providing code reviews and technical coaching
- Partner with clients to present findings, explain tradeoffs, and align solutions with business outcomes
