Society Insurance Company seeks a Data Architect to lead enterprise data design within our Insurance IT & Data Management team. You'll define data models, standards, and governance to support underwriting, claims, and analytics for niche hospitality and contractor clients. Partner with developers, analysts, and business leaders to design modern data platforms, integrate core policy/claims systems, and enable BI, reporting, and advanced analytics. Responsibilities
- Design and maintain enterprise data models and logical/physical database schemas for core insurance systems
- Define and enforce data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance to translate business needs into scalable data solutions
- Architect and oversee data integration between policy, billing, claims, CRM, and external data providers
- Partner with data engineers to design ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data platforms (e.g., data warehouse/lake)
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory and corporate policies
- Support BI and analytics teams with well-structured data sets for reporting and advanced analytics
- Evaluate and recommend data technologies, tools, and platforms aligned to business and IT strategy
- Document data models, data flows, and metadata standards for cross-functional stakeholders
- Mentor team members on data modeling, architecture principles, and best practices
Required Skills
- Data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
- Relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or similar)
