The Opportunity
Our client is a fastgrowing technology company developing advanced visionbased systems for complex operational environments. Following the launch of a new US presence, theyre hiring their first USbased Senior Product Engineer a handson technical leader who will guide products from early customer conversations through onsite deployment and performance validation.
This is a hands-on engineering role not a solutions architect or pre-sales overlay. You'll be writing code, calibrating hardware, and troubleshooting in the field.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end integration, installation, and deployment of AI vision systems onto customer platforms (armored vehicles, drones) at US government and partner facilities
- Write and modify production-level Python code to tailor system outputs and interfaces to specific platform requirements
- Run hands-on technical demonstrations and field experiments directly with end-users
- Serve as the primary technical bridge between US clients/partners and the global R&D headquarters
- Manage local technical activities including specialized hardware handling and subcontractor coordination
- Travel 4050% across the US to client sites (Detroit, Maryland, Virginia area)
Qualifications:
What You Bring
Required
- 68+ years in an R&D engineering capacity (not IT, DevOps, or QA)
- Production-level Python and Linux proficiency writing and modifying code, not just scripting
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- Demonstrated history of delivering a technical product through field testing and integration to end-users
- Background in defense, aviation, or robotics
- Eligibility for US Security Clearance
Advantageous
- Hardware integration experience: ROS, serial communications, camera calibration
- Computer vision, machine learning, or deep learning knowledge
- Video streaming protocols and tools (GStreamer, FFmpeg)
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms (DeepStream, TensorRT)
