Business Development Manager


Position Summary

Nimbus Roofing and Sheet Metal is seeking a motivated and professional Business Development Manager to help drive company growth through relationship building, networking, and market development throughout the Portland Metro area.

This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, creating strategic relationships with General Contractors, property owners, developers, and industry partners, and representing Nimbus Roofing and Sheet Metal within the construction community.


Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with General Contractors, developers, property managers, andkey industry decision-makers.

Generate new business opportunities outside of company-provided leads.

Attend industry networking events including:

Professional Business Development Group (PBDG)

Home Builders Association events

Chamber of Commerce meetings

Construction industry networking events

Trade shows and association functions

Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to ensure opportunities are effectively pursued.

Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects.

Track contacts, opportunities, and activities within the company CRM system.

Conduct client visits and relationship-building meetings throughout the service area.

Represent Nimbus Roofing and Sheet Metal with professionalism and integrity.

Assist in developing strategic growth initiatives and market expansion opportunities.


Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a polished, relationship-driven professional who understands the construction industry and thrives on creating new opportunities. They are comfortable building relationships with General Contractors, developers, estimators, and industry professionals while confidently representing Nimbus Roofing and Sheet Metal throughout the Portland market.


Qualifications

Required

Minimum 2 years of sales experience

Minimum 3 years of construction industry experience

Proven ability to develop and maintain business relationships


Strong communication and networking skills

Professional appearance and demeanor

Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Preferred

Existing relationships within the Portland-area construction industry

Experience working with General Contractors, estimators, developers, and property managers

Familiarity with CRM software and sales pipeline management

Roofing, sheet metal, waterproofing, or specialty subcontractor experience


Compensation

Base Salary:

$50,000 annually

Performance-Based Commission Structure

This position is designed for a motivated business development professional who enjoys creating new opportunities and building long-term relationships within the construction industry. There is no cap on commission earnings.

Revenue Commission

Commission is earned on revenue generated from self-sourced and self-developed accounts.

1.0% on the first $1,000,000 of annual self-generated revenue

2.0% on all annual self-generated revenue exceeding $1,000,000

Performance Bonuses

$5,000 bonus upon generating $1,000,000 in annual revenue

$25,000 bonus upon generating $2,000,000 in annual revenue

$40,000 bonus upon generating $3,000,000 in annual revenue
