JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assists in developmental and operational testing of internal and external customer systems. Interface between instrumentation engineers and test customers to ensure that parametric data required is available for test data analysis and accurately reflects the system configuration and operational characteristics. Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties: Provide leadership and organization to large project teams Provide Technical Expertise on the test process, and range environment and capability Provide EW, RF and Protocol expertise in a specialized area Suggest improvements to processes, systems, and procedures to obtain efficiencies Develop data analysis tools, processes, or products for analysis Provide analytical mentorship to junior analysts Analyze pre-test predictions to design test events and profiles, define data collection requirements and go no-go criteria to meet test objectives; Brief mission execution plans Conduct test activities from control centers and provide system performance monitoring Order, QC and analyze data; Identify and resolve data anomalies and System Under Test performance variances; Present test findings and recommendations Author test documents (Data Management and Analysis Plans, Test Support) Provide related support as requested RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Integrated Air Defense Systems (DIADS) Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) Operator to support the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) at Nellis Air Force Base. In this critical role, the successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering highly realistic and challenging threat environments to support Department of War test, training, and tactical rehearsal events. Key Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this position involves utilizing the DIADS software to meticulously plan, build, test, and execute complex scenarios integrated within the JSE architecture. During simulation events, the operator will actively manage and maneuver simulated threat systems in real-time. This requires faithfully replicating adversary Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to ensure a rigorous and doctrine-accurate threat presentation. Additionally, the operator will serve as a Subject Matter Expert, advising test directors, engineers, and mission commanders on adversary SAM capabilities, limitations, and likely operational behaviors. Following scenario execution, the operator will provide critical data and analytical feedback on threat system performance to support comprehensive After-Action Reviews (AARs) and post-mission analysis. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Ideal candidates will possess a comprehensive, highly desirable knowledge of adversary IADS doctrine, network architecture, sensor capabilities, and inherent system limitations. Prior experience operating DIADS or similar threat emulation software in a tactical, test, or training environment is strongly preferred to ensure immediate operational impact. Furthermore, the role requires a demonstrated understanding of SAM employment, radar theory, and electronic warfare (EW) principles. Candidates must have experience working within advanced synthetic training architectures or modeling and simulation environments like the JSE. Strong analytical skills are required to accurately interpret scenario requirements and translate them into actionable simulation parameters. Finally, all candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain the requisite Department of War (DoW) security clearance. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE Completion of technical training and at least 14 years of related experience; or an associate degree and 11 years of related experience; or a related bachelor's degree (engineering, math, computer science, or physics) and eight years of related experience; or a related master's degree. The incumbent must understand concepts, principles, and practices of engineering and analysis to enable the employee to serve as a technical authority on projects relating to the specific programs. The position requires knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in technology to solve problems in the specialty area. In addition, an Operations/Test Analyst IV must possess the following qualifications: Must maintain excellent communications and analytical skills Must possess working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance Must be a U.S. citizen SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 annually. Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
