Job description: - Title: Sr Data Modeler / Analyst Location: Wilmington, DE (5 Days Onsite every Week) Duration: months Additional Job Details: "Primary Responsibilities • Lead the design and implementation of complex AWS data engineering solutions. • Own technical delivery across multiple data pipelines, domains, or workstreams. • Translate data architecture into scalable, production grade implementations. • Define and enforce engineering standards, frameworks, and reusable accelerators. • Drive performance tuning, cost optimization, and reliability of AWS data platforms. • Guide teams on best practices for Glue, Redshift, S3, PySpark, and Python. • Work closely with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to shape solutions. • Provide technical leadership during production issues, migrations, and modernization programs. Core Technical Skills • Deep expertise in AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, PostgreSQL • Advanced PySpark and Python engineering • Experience with CDC, streaming, and event driven data architectures (Kinesis / MSK - good to have) • Strong understanding of data security, governance, and operational excellence • CI/CD, IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation - good to have) Behavioral & Leadership Skills • Strong technical leadership and mentoring capability • Ability to make architectural trade off decisions at implementation level • Excellent stakeholder communication and ownership mindset Experience • 10-14+ years overall experience in data engineering • 5+ years leading AWS based data engineering teams or workstreams" Title: Data Architect / Data Modeler Location: Wilmington, DE (5 Days Onsite every Week) Primary Responsibilities • Collaborate with client business and technology leadership to provide AWS-centric data strategy and architecture thought leadership, acting as a trusted advisor to define scalable, secure, and future ready data platforms. • Review existing on premise and cloud data architectures and recommend modernization and migration strategies to AWS, identifying gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities. • Define end to end AWS data architectures covering ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, AI/ML, and consumption layers. • Lead architecture decisions for data lakes, lakehouse, data warehouses, and real time streaming platforms on AWS. • Drive architecture standards, reference patterns, and guardrails aligned to AWS Well Architected Framework and enterprise governance needs. Behavioral and Teaming Responsibilities • Engage with CxOs, enterprise architects, security, and platform teams to ensure AWS data solutions align with enterprise IT strategy. • Provide architectural guidance to solutioning, delivery, and portfolio enablement teams during PoCs, pilots, and production rollouts. • Act as a mentor for data engineers, ML engineers, and analytics teams across AWS implementations. • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management, consultative mindset, and ability to influence decisions across business and IT. • Experience working across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models in large transformation programs. • Comfortable operating in fast paced, multi client, and ambiguous environments. Core Areas of Expertise (AWS Focused) • Enterprise Data Strategy & Architecture o Define AWS based data strategy, target state architecture, and migration roadmaps o Logical and physical data modeling for analytical and operational use cases • AWS Data Platform Services o Amazon S3 - enterprise data lake design, zoning, lifecycle policies, cost optimization o AWS Glue - metadata catalog, ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality and orchestration o Amazon Redshift (including RA3, Redshift Spectrum) - enterprise data warehousing and analytics o Amazon Aurora / RDS PostgreSQL - operational and analytical workloads • Data Engineering & Processing o PySpark, Python for large scale batch and streaming data processing o Design patterns for incremental loads, CDC, and event driven architectures • AI / ML & Generative AI Enablement o Amazon SageMaker for ML lifecycle (training, inference, MLOps integration) o Amazon Bedrock for Generative AI use cases (RAG, enterprise copilots, AI driven analytics) • Data Governance, Security & Quality o Data security, encryption, IAM, lake permissions, and regulatory compliance o Data quality, observability, lineage, and metadata management • Operations & Reliability o Backup, recovery, DR strategies for AWS data platforms o Cost optimization, performance tuning, and operational excellence Functional Relevance of Work Experience • Proven experience leading medium to large AWS data platform transformation programs. • Strong background in Financial Services (Banking / Insurance) or other regulated industries. • Experience addressing UK / Europe regulatory and data privacy requirements (GDPR, data residency, security controls). • Ability to translate business outcomes into scalable AWS data architectures.
