About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Global Network Director to lead our worldwide network operations, including Network Engineering, Data Centers, and Network Security teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our global network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate the activities of Network Engineering, Data Centers, and Network Security teams across multiple global locations.
Develop and implement strategic plans for network infrastructure growth, optimization, and modernization.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the company's global network infrastructure.
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network systems, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking solutions.
Manage data center operations, including capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
Direct the development and enforcement of network security policies and procedures to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with other IT leaders and business stakeholders to align network strategies with overall business objectives.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for network equipment, services, and support.
Oversee the budget for global network operations and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement in network operations.
Develop and mentor team members to build a high-performing, globally distributed workforce.
Provide regular reports on network performance, security metrics, and project status to executive leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in network engineering and operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPN, SDN).
Experience with cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with modern network observability platforms (e.g., Grafana, Elastic, Prometheus).
Experience with Leaf Spine architecture in large scale data center environments.
Expertise in network security principles, tools, and best practices.
Familiarity with data center operations and infrastructure management.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
Willingness to travel internationally as required (up to 25% of the time).
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Arista Networks platforms, including EOS, CloudVision, and automation frameworks.
Strong knowledge of next-generation networking technologies, such as:
Network automation and orchestration (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
Software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization.
Industry certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, Arista ACE, or equivalent.
