Job Description

Digital Print Specialist / Operator The Digital Print Specialist/Operator is responsible for accurately loading garments onto the printing machine to ensure each design is applied in the correct placement and location. Precision and consistency are essential, as garments must be positioned correctly every time while maintaining a minimum production standard of 65 impressions per hour. Informal Title: Digital Print Technician This role requires the ability to adjust machine settings to accurately print designs on various substrates. The operator supports the pace of production while closely monitoring both personnel and equipment to ensure consistent output. Any variances must be promptly reported to the Digital Print Supervisor. In addition, this position is responsible for operating assigned equipment, performing and assisting with maintenance, making machine adjustments, and maintaining a clean and organized work area throughout the shift. Daily Responsibilities Follow and practice all safety procedures related to machinery. Accurately load garments onto pallets with proper alignment and placement. Ensure garments are free of wrinkles and lint in the print area. Maintain a productive pace without causing damage to garments or equipment. Operate the control panel and dryer with a thorough understanding of their functions. Verify correct design placement and specifications for each order. Maintain awareness of production to identify when to stop the machine for quality or safety concerns. Inspect garments for flaws or defects and apply all quality control standards. Report any print quality issues, machine malfunctions, or production stoppages to the Digital Print Supervisor. Adjust machine settings based on garment type and color to ensure proper print quality, adhesion, and curing. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment as instructed. Keep the work area clean, including wiping up ink spills immediately and removing debris. Sweep floors and maintain a safe, organized workspace. Stage garments for upcoming jobs and organize completed orders in designated areas. Perform minor garment repairs using approved tools and procedures. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Frequent twisting, turning, and strong hand-eye coordination required. Ability to work in a warm to hot environment with airborne particles. Tolerance for odors from cleaning chemicals and garment repair processes. Accurately count and record production data. Show initiative and maintain performance standards. Be willing to cross-train in other roles or departments as needed. Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to work scheduled hours, including overtime when required.
