Job Description
2. Write production-quality code and build core network protocol stacks supporting signaling and mobility management using 4G/5G RAN protocols such as RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC, SCTP, S1AP, NAS, X2AP, and GTP 3. Design and code software for 2G, LTE, and 5G network protocols, ensuring compliance with 3GPP specifications while managing 4G/5G Core and RAN components including eNB/gNB CU/DU, MME, SGW, and PGW 4. Develop and debug systems-level software for authentication and O&M functions in a distributed environment utilizing Cloud-Native Architecture tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and YAML 5. Build automated software testing frameworks for protocol conformance and end-to-end performance validation, incorporating DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture 6. Analyze and resolve software performance issues across protocol layers using gdb, Valgrind, Wireshark, and tcpdump, while managing telecom protocols including SIP, IMS, VoLTE, VoIP, Diameter, and SS7/SIGTRAN 7. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate protocol software with radio components, implementing Observability and Messaging solutions such as Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, and Kafka to ensure reliable deployment. 8. Evolve networking solutions by contributing to internal libraries and leveraging Modern AI Systems, including LLM-based automation, RAG, and MCP to enhance software engineering practices. Requires five (5) years of (post degree, progressive) experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must have included: a. Programming & Scripting: C++, Python, Shell Script. b. Telecom Protocols: SIP, IMS, VoLTE, VoIP, Diameter, RCS, SS7/SIGTRAN. c. 4G/5G RAN Protocols: RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC, SCTP, S1AP, NAS, X2AP, GTP. d. 4G/5G Core & RAN: eNB/gNB CU/DU, MME, SGW, PGW. e. Cloud-Native Architecture: Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, YAML, Envoy/Istio. f. Observability & Messaging: Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Kafka. g. DevOps & Distributed Systems: CI/CD, microservices, gRPC. h. AI/ML & Modern AI Systems: RAG, MCP, LLM-based automation, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn.
