Job Description

Role: Solution Architect Microsoft Fabric (Azure Data Platform)
Location: Onsite Naperville

Role Summary:
Looking for a Solution Architect to design and implement modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric
Strong hands-on experience with Azure data services is mandatory; Microsoft Fabric exposure is optional

Data Platform & Architecture Responsibilities:
Design end-to-end data platform architectures aligned with enterprise needs
Implement Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
Develop scalable data models including star schema and semantic layers
Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of data platforms

Azure Data Engineering & Services:
Work hands-on with Azure data services including:
Azure Data Factory
Azure Synapse Analytics
Azure Data Lake Storage
Azure SQL Database
Build and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines
Write and optimize advanced SQL queries
Work with Spark/PySpark for data processing

Power BI & Semantic Layer:
Develop and manage Power BI dashboards and reports
Implement data modeling and DAX calculations
Optimize performance and semantic layer design

Governance & Security:
Implement data security models including RBAC and RLS
Maintain data governance practices and basic data lineage understanding
Ensure compliance with enterprise data policies

Solution Architecture & Delivery:
Design scalable, enterprise-grade data solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business requirements
Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance

Preferred Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake)
Understanding of AI + data concepts (RAG, Copilot)
Knowledge of API and integration patterns
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms

Nice to Have:
Experience with Microsoft Purview
Exposure to real-time analytics solutions
Understanding of multi-tenant architecture
Familiarity with Azure Databricks (optional)
