We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineer III to serve as a subject matter expert across key infrastructure and security technologies. This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer who thrives in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex enterprise solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure and security solutions
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Lead system architecture, infrastructure design, and implementation efforts
  • Manage and coordinate vendor resources and third-party technologies
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures
  • Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with risk, regulatory, and internal control standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across systems and platforms

Core Skills & Technologies:

  • Active Directory administration
  • Security tools: Proxy, SIEM, Entra, DLP, Firewalls
  • Incident and request management
  • Automation tools and scripting
  • Server/client and virtual infrastructure technologies

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of combined education and/or experience in systems design, engineering, or architecture
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in infrastructure design, system architecture, or application development
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise technologies and system integrations
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments
