Overview
CTG is seeking a Java Full Stack Engineer to join our client's team. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer experienced in building scalable, high-performance applications across the full stack.
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 12 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain full stack applications using Java and modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
- Build robust REST APIs and GraphQL services
- Design and implement reactive, event-driven systems (Vert.x or similar)
- Work with large-scale datasets and optimize data processing performance
- Contribute to microservices architecture and distributed system design
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices
Required Skills:
- Strong Java development experience (5+ years)
- Expertise in REST APIs and GraphQL
- Experience with Big Data and large datasets
- Reactive programming experience (Vert.x or similar)
- Full stack development expertise (backend + frontend)
- Experience with React, Angular, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
- Strong knowledge of system design, microservices, and scalable architectures
Nice to Have:
- Prior American Express experience
- Experience in large enterprise environments
- Exposure to AI-assisted or intelligent engineering workflows
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
