Overview

CTG is seeking a Java Full Stack Engineer to join our client's team. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer experienced in building scalable, high-performance applications across the full stack.

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain full stack applications using Java and modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
  • Build robust REST APIs and GraphQL services
  • Design and implement reactive, event-driven systems (Vert.x or similar)
  • Work with large-scale datasets and optimize data processing performance
  • Contribute to microservices architecture and distributed system design
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices

Required Skills:

  • Strong Java development experience (5+ years)
  • Expertise in REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Experience with Big Data and large datasets
  • Reactive programming experience (Vert.x or similar)
  • Full stack development expertise (backend + frontend)
  • Experience with React, Angular, or similar frameworks
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
  • Strong knowledge of system design, microservices, and scalable architectures

Nice to Have:

  • Prior American Express experience
  • Experience in large enterprise environments
  • Exposure to AI-assisted or intelligent engineering workflows

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
