IT HELP DESK TECHNICIAN

Dentons Durham Jones Pinegar PC is looking for a reliable, customer-focused IT Help Desk Technician to support our employees with day to day technical needs. You'll be the first point of contact for troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and ensuring our team has the tools they need to work effectively. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, communicating clearly, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and account-related issues
  • Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and walk-up requests in a timely manner
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Assist as needed with user onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and equipment preparation
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, VPN access, and basic network problems
  • Document issues, solutions, and processes to improve team knowledge
  • Escalate complex issues when needed
  • Support routine system maintenance, updates, and inventory tracking
  • Help with Conference Room meeting setups for video conferencing
  • Assist with additional tasks/project assignments from management

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of IT support experience (or equivalent education/certifications)
  • Strong understanding of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and common business applications
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues methodically and document solutions clearly
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications
  • Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and identity management
  • Exposure to IT asset management or endpoint management tools
  • Experience supporting both on-site and remote employees
