JOB SUMMARY:The Platform Implementation Manager is responsible for delivering a seamless onboarding and implementation experience for SMB merchants adopting the Commerce Platform. This role involves project managing implementations, coordinating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring merchants successfully transition to and adopt platform products. The position is primarily remote with a preference for candidates located near major hubs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive merchant onboarding and implementation with clear and effective communication
- Manage end-to-end implementation of online ordering, mobile apps, loyalty, and gift card programs
- Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely product setup and adoption
- Conduct kickoff calls and manage project timelines for merchant implementations
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for merchant and internal platform issues
- Educate merchants on product features, functionality, and best practices
- Act as the primary point of contact ("quarterback") for merchant onboarding and support
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams to ensure merchant success
- Collect and share merchant feedback to improve products and operations
- Deliver presentations and handle merchant concerns professionally
- Monitor onboarding progress and ensure service level and timeline goals are met
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and merchant experience
- Adapt to evolving processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in onboarding, implementation, project management, or account management
- Experience working with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Square, Clover)
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (internal and external)
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in SaaS or platform-based business environments
- Background in merchant services, e-commerce, or digital ordering platforms
- Experience working with SMB clients
- Familiarity with onboarding workflows and customer success strategies
