NOC Support Specialist

Aquinas Consulting is looking to fill a NOC Support Specialist job in Newington, NH. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting optical transmission equipment, troubleshooting network issues, conducting system maintenance, and providing outage information for major network incidents. The specialist will work closely with internal teams, customers, and vendors to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.

SR NOC Support Specialist job Responsibilities:

• Create customer impact messages and trouble tickets describing service issues.
• Conduct remote surveillance of fault, performance, inventory, and security to detect service problems.
• Work with network and enterprise teams to detect, coordinate, and respond to service-impacting issues.
• Implement and follow NOC processes for maintenance, repair, security access, and network operations.
• Ensure compliance with security procedures and protocols.
• Communicate with team members, subject matter experts, third-party support suppliers, and customers.
• Escalate issues promptly while maintaining sensitivity to team dynamics.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to management.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a NOC Specialist or Technician is a plus.
• Candidates should have at least 3-5 Years experience specifically working with Cienna 6500 Packet Transport equipment, a plus would be Cisco NCS 1004 or Nokia PSI- M or PSI-8L
• Intermediate knowledge of telecommunications networks.
• Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-driven with a strong desire to learn.
• Experience with submarine cable systems, transmission operations, and maintenance.
• Ability to work in a 24x7x365 shift rotation schedule.
