Role: AI Architect Location Jersey City, NJ - Onsite role Full Time/ FTE Independent Banking domain We are seeking a highly accomplished Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Cloud-native architectures, and Emerging Technologies. This role is responsible for defining and governing enterprise-wide architectures, leading complex technology transformations, and translating cutting-edge innovation into scalable, business-impacting platforms. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience designing AI-first enterprise platforms, leading global architecture teams, and shaping long-term technology strategy across financial services and large enterprises. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Architecture & Technology Strategy Define and own enterprise-level architecture for AI, GenAI, data, and cloud platforms Establish reference architectures, standards, and governance models for scalable, secure, and compliant solutions Provide architectural leadership for complex, multi-year digital and AI transformation programs Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives on technology vision, roadmap, and innovation strategy AI, GenAI & Advanced Analytics Architect Generative AI platforms including: Large Language Models (LLMs) Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) Vector databases, semantic search, and knowledge graphs Agentic and workflow-driven AI systems Drive adoption of AI across enterprise functions (e.g., HR, Finance, Tax, Insurance, Operations) Lead architecture and design for AI/ML model lifecycle, MLOps, explainability, and model governance Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies through PoCs and production-grade solutions Cloud, Data & Platform Architecture Design cloud-native SaaS architectures leveraging: Microservices and containerization Messaging and event-driven architectures Multi-tenancy and scalable data platforms Lead architecture for big data, real-time analytics, and AI-enabled platforms Ensure alignment with security, privacy, compliance, and enterprise IT standards Leadership & Collaboration Lead and mentor senior architects, AI engineers, and data scientists across global teams Partner closely with business and technology stakeholders Product Engineering, Product Management, Research, and Business Strategy teams Drive technology transfer from research and innovation into enterprise products and platforms Guide cross-functional teams from concept through delivery and commercialization Innovation & Emerging Technologies Identify, evaluate, and incubate emerging technologies including: Blockchain Computer Vision Quantum Computing Data-frugal AI and Explainable AI Champion innovation through internal platforms, testbeds, and reusable architecture assets Support IP creation through patents, technical publications, and thought leadership Required Qualifications Education PhD in Computer Science or related field (strongly preferred) Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering Experience 15+ years of experience in enterprise and solution architecture, with significant leadership scope Proven track record as Enterprise / Chief / Principal Architect in large, complex organizations Hands-on experience architecting AI/ML and GenAI platforms at enterprise scale Experience working with financial services or highly regulated industries preferred Technical Expertise AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Knowledge Graphs Cloud-native architecture (microservices, containers, SaaS) Big Data, real-time analytics, NLP, computer vision MLOps, model explainability, and AI governance Blockchain and emerging technology integration Leadership & Soft Skills Strong technology vision and strategic thinking Ability to communicate complex architecture concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders Proven people leader with experience scaling and mentoring high-performance teams Comfortable operating at the intersection of research, architecture, and business outcomes Nice to Have Published research or significant patent portfolio Experience leading innovation or R&D organizations Exposure to quantum computing or next-generation AI platforms
