JOB SUMMARY The Data Engineer is responsible for developing and automating data processes to support business operations and enterprise data initiatives. This role works with diverse datasets across multiple business domains to design, implement, and optimize data integration solutions, enabling improved decision-making, data accessibility, and business intelligence while ensuring data quality, security, and scalability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and unit test ETL/data integration solutions to meet business requirements Provide production support for Enterprise Data Warehouse systems, including Informatica, MuleSoft, and Oracle PL/SQL jobs Troubleshoot and resolve data integration and data quality issues Develop Informatica/MuleSoft mappings and complex Oracle PL/SQL programs Analyze transaction errors, debug issues, and perform performance tuning Deliver high-quality data solutions with a focus on productivity and efficiency Provide work estimates and communicate progress on assigned tasks Support QA efforts by contributing to test cases and execution Utilize DevOps tools for CI/CD, builds, and monitoring of data solutions Integrate data from various sources including APIs, XML, JSON, flat files, and SOAP services Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to data architecture and design principles Make independent decisions impacting project and departmental outcomes Perform additional duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Experience in a data integration or ETL role Experience with Apache Spark, NiFi, and/or Kafka Proficiency in Python Experience integrating enterprise systems using ETL tools Strong understanding of data architecture, data structures, and design principles Experience with Informatica and/or MuleSoft platforms Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, Hive, HBase, MongoDB) Ability to integrate data using web services (XML, JSON, SOAP, flat files) Understanding of RESTful API design and RAML 1.0 Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with API Management Proficiency with tools/technologies such as MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, MySQL Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) Familiarity with cloud-based architecture Experience with data analysis and model prototyping using Spark, Python, SQL, and data science tools (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow) Experience working in a technology organization CERTIFICATIONS Relevant technical certifications (preferred) Education: Bachelors Degree
