Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team. As a Technical Writer, you will be part of the Documentation Support Department supporting engineering and technical teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Mount Pleasant, PA

What's the Job?

  • Write, edit, and maintain semi-complex technical documentation, including user manuals, job aids, installation instructions, and technical bulletins.
  • Participate in the development of online help screens for company products.
  • Research technical and engineering information, including drawings, design and test specifications, and product prototypes.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts through interviews and documentation reviews.
  • Engage in all phases of the document development cycle, from project scope to design and review.

What's Needed?

  • Proficiency in technical writing, with experience in Word and PDF documents.
  • Competency in Excel; familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT is beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and prototypes.
  • Strong research skills and attention to detail.
  • Assessment scores in Word, Excel, and Outlook are preferred; please include scores on your resume.
