We are seeking a SQL DB Developer/Administrator who can transform data and will work with the current SQL DBA, and cross-functionally with Business, Infrastructure team, Source data owners, and the Analytics sub-committee teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform schema design review and changes for application releases.
Perform database maintenance such as table re-organizations, index rebuilds.
Provide support for day-to-day operations and troubleshooting.
Ability to work in a 24X7 on-call environment when needed.
Provide design advice from database performance perspective.
Assist in application database upgrade planning, development of database migration design strategies, and other assorted database projects for applications.
Ability to work in a high intensity, multi-application environment.
Administer multiple databases across multiple applications, test and production environments.
Ability to work with Microsoft BI Stack - Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
Knowledgeable on all facets of Software Development Methodology (SDM) and assisting the Governing Board team on SDM compliance for activities.
Foster and ensure cooperation and coordination among the various partners and Information Services organizations.
Ability to perform Unit Testing as a developer and work with the Test team to help with System and UAT testing.
Ensure compliance with Justice Reference Architecture (JRA), National Information Exchange Model (NIEM), National Center of Courts (NCSC) and other criminal justice industry standards in all areas of the environment, and Global Federated Identity and Privilege Management (GFIPM).
Perform any duties as assigned by the Executive Director, Program Manager or Operations Manager.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Includes teleworking but attending in-person meetings when needed.
Required / Desired Skills
Solid background with Microsoft SQL Server Database development skills and the ability to foster and ensure cooperation and coordination among the various partners. Required - 5 Years
Windows Server 2019/2022 with SQL Server 2019/2022 Required - 5 Years
Development/Administration Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Required - 5 Years
Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services SSIS Required - 5 Years
Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Required - 5 Years
Extraction Transformation and Loading (ETL) knowledge. Required - 5 Years
Dashboard development using Power BI Developing and analyzing Views, Triggers, Stored Procedures, and functions using database languages Required - 5 Years
Analyzing performance issues (indexes, constraints, keys, triggers, etc.) Required - 5 Years
Shell scripting in languages such as Windows shell or PowerShell Required - 5 Years
Knowledge of the following is a plus: Use of structured methodology (RUP experience a plus) to produce design artifacts Required - 5 Years
Use of design tools such as ERWIN, and Embarcadero background in logical and physical database design ETL tool - CONNX Required - 5 Years
