Engineer Software III ( Secret Clearance )

Description

We are looking for an Information Technologist who will be working with the latest technology to modernize software product production with DevSecOps - continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, continuous cyber, continuous deployment, and continuous metrics on aerospace programs. Specifically, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, development, deployment, and operation of a modern DevSecOps software factory. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams such as Systems Engineering, Real-time Embedded Software, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test in an Agile software development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct trade studies and analysis of alternatives for end-of-life peer review products
• Lead a cross-functional team to prototype solutions and gain stakeholder buy-in
• Productionize replacement for end-of-life tools
• Define and migrate existing teams to the tool

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering, including a background in the Agile development lifecycle; OR a Master's degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering, including a background in the Agile development lifecycle; OR a Ph.D. AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering, including a background in the Agile development lifecycle
• Must have experience with peer review tools such as Atlassian Crucible
• Must have experience with at least one object-oriented programming language: Java, JavaScript, C, C#, Python, Swift, and software development lifecycle
• Must have experience with one of the following change management tracking system tools: Jira, ClearQuest, Asana
• Must have experience with one of the following continuous integration tools: Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab
• Must have experience with one of the following configuration management systems: Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, Subversion

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification with cloud technology (AWS, VMware, Azure, Kubernetes) at the architect level
• Experience with using AI to improve peer review quality
• Experience with architecting cloud solutions
• Active Secret DoD Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
• Current Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

This is a Contract position based out of Melbourne, FL.

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $120.00/hr.
