We are looking for an IT Security Engineer to lead security operations and assist with maintaining our IT infrastructure. This role covers both security program operations and day-to-day administration across Windows, Linux, and cloud environments. Knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 is desired, along with hands-on technical experience. Responsibilities: Maintain the System Security Plan. Serve as primary point of contact for assessments and external audits. Collect and organize audit evidence for NIST 800-171 and ISO 27001 controls. Conduct security hygiene activities including access management, configuration management, change control and incident response. Review security logs, investigate anomalies, and escalate findings as needed. Coordinate vulnerability scanning and remediation. Provide support for Linux-based systems and servers, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Configure and manage Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint to ensure security and compliance. Manage XDR and other security tooling. Document system configurations, procedures, and security-related processes. Requirements: 2+ years of IT experience with hands-on security responsibilities. Experience with logging, vulnerability scanning, and identity and access management tools. Experience with audits, compliance documentation, and evidence collection. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration. Hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, or similar distributions). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure). Knowledge of networking principles and protocols. Strong attention to detail and responsibility. Clear communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience. Desired: Working knowledge of ISO 27001 or NIST SP 800-171 requirements. Experience supporting formal assessments (CMMC, ISO 27001, SOC 2). Knowledge of virtualization technologies and containerization. Relevant certifications: Windows Server, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA. Linux+, or Certified CMMC Professional (CCP). Job Description Job Description In this position you will work with our team of engineers and our NASA customers to support human spaceflight programs such as Gateway (extending human exploration into deep space and new destinations), the Orion crew vehicle, and the International Space Station. This includes development of software for spacecraft simulations, integration with human/computer interfaces, flight computer data interfaces, custom development and integration tools, and environment simulations. Must have a strong interest in software development and the initiative and aptitude for hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting. Job Description Job Description METECS is seeking an entry-level Simulation Software Engineer to support NASA's simulation efforts as part of the Robotics, Simulations, and Graphics Support (RSGS) team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering who are interested in applying those skills to challenging problems in aerospace, robotics, human spaceflight, and physics-based simulation. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of high-fidelity simulation software that supports engineering analysis across a wide range of human spaceflight programs, including the International Space Station (ISS), Orion, Moon Base, Space Reactor-1 Freedom (SR-1), Human Landing System (HLS), and other advanced exploration initiatives. Projects may include development and enhancement of core dynamics and simulation tools, investigations of crew member stability in lunar and microgravity environments, lunar vehicle simulations, and support of ISS training simulation systems. Successful candidates will be active contributors to a modern software development environment. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining features from Git-managed work items, participating in peer code reviews, contributing to automated testing efforts, and helping maintain and improve continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Candidates should be comfortable working within large, collaborative codebases and applying software engineering best practices to ensure reliability, maintainability, and performance.
