Technical Trading Operations Support Engineer

Position is 5 days per week onsite.

Downtown New York City mid-sized trading firm seeking a Trading Operations Engineer for technical operations support.

You will sit on the trading desk and be a vital part of the technical operations processes, while also being part of the Technology team. Your tasks will be split between desk facing activities and light coding.

Responsibilities include

• First point of contact for traders

• Install, configure and monitor critical trading applications

• Incident management via ticketing system and documentation

• Collaborate with developers for all operational processes supporting trading applications

Required skills:

- Linux experience is required

• 2-5 years experience in a Trading Operations Engineer is optimal, but will also consider those with no experience in the trading industry.
• Devops roles in tech would receive consideration.
• Will train from the ground up on trading-specific knowledge, but candidates must come in with experience in Python, SQL, and bash scripting on Linux.
