Top-Tier Investment Management Firm in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking an Associate, AI Engineer for their growing team!
We are seeking a hands-on AI Engineer to develop and deploy AI-driven applications for a growing financial services organization. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development skills and experience building production-ready solutions using large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and modern AI technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy AI applications that improve business processes, research, and data analysis.
- Develop generative AI tools utilizing LLMs, RAG, semantic search, and document processing.
- Build scalable Python applications and integrate AI solutions with internal systems and databases.
- Implement and optimize embeddings, vector databases, and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver practical AI solutions.
- Ensure applications meet performance, security, and reliability standards.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or software development.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience deploying AI applications into production.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).
- Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and vector databases such as pgvector, Qdrant, or Weaviate.
- Knowledge of data pipelines, document processing, and structured/unstructured datasets.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or investment management.
- Familiarity with Azure, workflow automation, and AI governance.
