Solid proficiency troubleshooting routing, switching and wireless networks. Routine server maintenance, including software and database updates. Working from a ticketing system and keeping documentation current (ServiceDeskPlus training provided). VMware vCenter, especially snapshots and resource allocation. Microsoft Intune for policy deployment and Windows device management. Google Admin Console for Chromebook management. Jamf for iPad management. ManageEngine Endpoint Central or other Endpoint Central products. Works independently through issues from first report to resolution. Communicates clearly and patiently with non-technical staff, students and administrators. Organized and disciplined about documentation, asset records and follow-up. Knows when to escalate, and keeps users informed until an issue is closed. Customer-focused, dependable and comfortable in a busy school environment. SUCCESS MEASUREMENTS / EXPECTED OUTCOMES What success looks like Fewer disruptions for staff and students, and less escalation to senior staff over time. First 30 days Learns the district's network layout, buildings, key systems and escalation paths. Works tickets in ServiceDeskPlus and closes common end-user issues without help. First 90 days Troubleshoots routing, switching and wireless issues independently and documents each fix. Handles routine server updates and vCenter snapshot and resource tasks on schedule. Pushes policies and manages devices across Intune, Google Admin and Jamf with little oversight. Key metrics / KPIs Tickets resolved within agreed response and resolution targets (SLA attainment). Escalation rate to senior staff, trending down over time. Patch and maintenance compliance, with zero missed maintenance windows. Accuracy of ServiceDeskPlus asset records. Repeat-ticket rate, with recurring issues fixed at the root. User satisfaction with communication and resolution. How performance is evaluated 30- and 90-day check-ins against the milestones above, followed by regular performance reviews. ServiceDeskPlus reporting on SLA, volume, escalations and repeat issues. Feedback from district technology leadership, senior engineers and end users. On-time completion of device rollouts and summer refresh projects before the school year starts.
