The Technician II serves as a technical resource on-site and provides guidance to less experienced technicians while supporting new build, expansion, and MACD projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Independently install and align server cabinets, network racks, ladder rack, containment systems, and supporting infrastructure according to engineered drawings and floor plans • Perform full row installations and validate layouts using field measurements and project documentation • Install overhead ladder rack, basket tray, conveyance systems, and fiber trough infrastructure • Pull, route, terminate, and dress copper, coax, and fiber optic cabling according to customer and industry standards • Install patch panels, splice trays, enclosures, rPDUs, tap boxes, cable whips, FAP panels, and DC loop systems • Rack and secure servers, switches, storage arrays, optical transport equipment, and related hardware • Perform fiber cleaning, inspection, continuity testing, and basic troubleshooting • Maintain ownership of QA/QC processes including punch lists, installation verification, and closeout activities • Interpret engineered drawings, MOPs, and scopes of work to ensure proper installation execution • Create and maintain accurate labeling, redlines, and as-built documentation • Support and mentor Technician I team members • Maintain clean and organized work areas, including proper housekeeping of tools, materials, and installation debris • Follow all Company safety policies, customer site requirements, and established safe work practices at all times • Accurately complete and submit timecards and other required administrative records in a timely manner • Travel regularly to job sites, which may include overnight stays • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.
