Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Cleared Engineering Operations Technician to support critical infrastructure in a secure AWS data center. You will operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and network systems, perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, and respond to incidents to protect uptime for mission-critical workloads. Partnering with engineering, security, and operations teams, you'll follow strict safety and change-control procedures, document work, and continuously improve reliability. This role requires an active security clearance, strong technical aptitude, and comfort in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. Responsibilities Operate and maintain data center mechanical, electrical, and networking systems Monitor infrastructure health and respond to alarms and incidents Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical equipment Support installation, decommissioning, and upgrades of hardware Follow safety, security, and change-control procedures at all times Document work in ticketing systems and maintain accurate asset records Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams on issues Assist in root cause analysis and implement reliability improvements Ensure compliance with security and environmental controls for cleared sites Provide on-call or shift coverage to support 24/7 operations Required Skills Data center infrastructure operations Mechanical and electrical systems troubleshooting Network hardware installation and maintenance Linux/Windows server basics Monitoring and incident response Preventive maintenance planning Ticketing and documentation tools Physical security and access control Change management processes Root cause analysis
