Job Description

Cox Automotive seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and optimize highly available cloud-native platforms supporting our automotive and media solutions. You'll architect scalable services, automate infrastructure, and improve reliability for products like Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book. Partner with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD, observability, and security best practices. You'll mentor engineers, drive platform standards, and champion performance, resiliency, and cost optimization in a people-first, inclusive, and innovative culture with strong growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure cloud-native platform architectures.
  • Build and maintain Kubernetes-based environments and containerized services.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code for repeatable, automated provisioning.
  • Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and quality.
  • Own observability, including logging, metrics, and alerting for platform services.
  • Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams on platform standards.
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and cloud cost across environments.
  • Ensure platform security, compliance, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents and root causes.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to platform engineering best practices.
