The Role Job Title: Salesforce Architect Own the Platform, Lead the Migration Franklin, TN IMPORTANT: This role is about owning a platform, not maintaining one. If you want a role where you close tickets, add fields, and log off at 5, stop reading here. Wesley runs on Salesforce today. About 350 people in sales and client resolution work in it all day. Over the next two years, we're moving some of those workloads onto platforms we build and own. We're looking for the person who will lead that work. You'll own the platform, guide a team of three developers and our outside partners, and sit with the people who use what you build until you understand their problem better than they do. Then you'll build the right thing, whether that's in Salesforce or somewhere else. You'll report to our Director of Development, who ran this org for eight years before moving into that role. You'll get a real handoff from someone who helped build it and knows where every workaround lives. We build with AI every day, using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and whatever we're testing next. If you've already seen what responsible AI use does to a team's output, know where it goes wrong, and always want to find out which tool does the job best, you'll fit right in here. Who Are We? Wesley Financial Group helps timeshare owners get out of their timeshares. We're a 2020 INC 500 company with offices in Franklin, Tennessee and Las Vegas, Nevada, and our brand is built on doing right by our clients. That includes protecting their data, which our industry gives us every reason to take seriously. What You'll Do Own the platform Set the target-state architecture, data model, and roadmap for Salesforce and for what comes after it Act as design authority for every change, and push back on anything that creates future debt Own the security and sharing model, SSO, and least-privilege access for sensitive client data Manage our vendor relationships, platform upgrades, and AppExchange apps, including DocuSign, Omnito, Goat Email, Distribution Engine, and OwnBackup Lead the migration Help shape and execute a two-year roadmap to move select workloads off Salesforce Decide what stays, what moves, and in what order, and move the data without disrupting a sales floor that depends on it every hour of the day Make the build, buy, or keep call on every AppExchange app and major workload Understand the business Sit with leaders in sales, client resolution, and finance and work through what they actually need. When someone asks for a checkbox, find out what decision it's supposed to drive. Turn those conversations into solutions that ship and get used Lead the team Guide three developers and our implementation partners Set the review standards, test coverage, and Copado deployment controls the team builds within Build hands-on in Flow and Apex, with AI tools like Claude Code doing the heavy lifting where they should Own the integrations Build and own integrations between Salesforce and NetSuite, Five9, the Wesley Client Portal, and whatever comes next Work across n8n, Zapier, REST and Bulk APIs, and direct callouts, and know which one fits the job IMPORTANT: When something breaks, you're already working on the fix. You don't wait for a ticket or a meeting. You jump in, find the cause, fix it, and make sure it doesn't happen again. This isn't a 9-to-5. It's owning a platform and having fun doing it with smart people who care about their work, support each other, and believe in what Wesley does for its clients. Who You Are You've owned a production Salesforce org, with real depth in Flow, Apex, and SOQL and good judgment about when declarative beats code You've led or played a major part in a platform migration, and you know what goes wrong when the data moves You use AI tools every day, you've seen them multiply a team's output, and you catch what they get wrong before it reaches production You're curious beyond Salesforce. Maybe you've spun up Twenty or another open-source CRM on a weekend just to see how it works. You've paid down technical debt without breaking production You have good instincts about sensitive client data, especially in AI workflows You live in Middle Tennessee (or are moving here) and can be on-site in Franklin regularly Don't apply just because you have Salesforce certifications.
