Senior Consultant - Analytics & Spotfire Development

Role Overview
The Senior Consultant will serve as a trusted analytics and visualisation expert, leading the design, development, and optimisation of advanced TIBCO Spotfire dashboards and analytics solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights and supports enterprise-scale analytics initiatives across multiple domains.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end development of Spotfire dashboards and analytic applications, from requirements gathering to deployment and optimization.
• Design intuitive, high-impact data visualizations that support executive- and operational-level decision-making.
• Integrate Spotfire with multiple data sources, including relational databases, data warehouses, and large-scale datasets.
• Develop and embed advanced analytics using Python, R, and IronPython, including data functions and statistical models.
• Optimize dashboard and server performance, including handling high-volume datasets (tens of millions of records).
• Provide ongoing support, enhancement, and troubleshooting for existing production dashboards, including root cause analysis and remediation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (data engineering, ETL, IT, business SMEs) to ensure data accuracy, governance, and scalability.
• Support or lead Spotfire platform upgrades, environment evaluations, and enterprise administration activities as needed.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices, documentation, and standards for analytics development.
• Present insights and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
• 6-10+ years of overall analytics, BI, or consulting experience, with 3-5+ years of hands-on TIBCO Spotfire development.
• Strong expertise in TIBCO Spotfire (v7.x or higher), including dashboards, data functions, and automation.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for advanced analytics and dashboard integration.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts; experience with enterprise data warehouses is preferred.
• Experience translating business requirements into analytical solutions in a client-facing or consulting environment.
