Piper Jordan is seeking a Senior Principal, Health and Benefits for our team in San Diego, California!
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead complex client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, business placement, benchmarking, and other studies
- Develop sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies and drive the development of tools and solutions to address complex client issues
- Determine the full scope of services provided to the client and set roles/responsibilities within the client team
- Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics
- Effectively communicate Piper Jordan's position on the latest industry trends to clients
- Be accountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts and projects
- Ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives
- Monitor success of projects in terms of scope, budget, timeliness, and client satisfaction
- Generate growth by expanding revenues from existing clients and by leading prospecting efforts with new clients
- Set strategic direction and create demand for new products/services in the marketplace
- Lead and participate in new business opportunities with sales channel partners
- Lead team effectively to provide developmental opportunities to team members. Provides mentoring and coaching to direct reports and project team members
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with peer-reviewing data and analysis

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Minimum of 10-15 years experience in identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' complex healthcare benefits challenges
- BA/BS degree required
- Renowned expertise and industry reputation in the health & benefits field
- Must be proficient using the Microsoft Windows platform and the following standard software programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRMs, Sharepoint
- Must be proficient using the Microsoft Windows platform and the following standard software programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet-based research, and internet-based research systems
- This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position
