Software Engineering Manager - Core Team
Join us at Medra as a Software Engineering Manager to help build our Physical AI Scientist platform, enabling scientific instruments with human level dexterity and autonomous analysis.
The Team:
- Mission driven engineers from Tesla, Amazon, SpaceX, Neuralink, and more, collaborating fast and enjoying both work and team trips.
- Passionate about engineering, robotics, race cars, cooking, and continuous learning.

In this role, you will:
- Design and implement user experiences that spark joy for our customers.
- Build internal tools to support our robotic fleet efficiently.
- Lead and grow a talented team of software engineers.
Let's talk if you have:
- Proficiency with Python and rapid iteration.
- Experience building interactive front ends with React or similar.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Understanding of web programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, REST).
- Backend system design and implementation experience.
- Willingness to wear many hats and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Ability to move fast in a loosely defined environment.
- Passion for learning and expanding skills.
- Experience managing software engineers.
Nice to have:
- Experience with database technologies like PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Interest and experience in robotics, machine learning, or computer vision, especially with hardware.
