Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid - 1 day onsite)

Job Description: This role is critical to our efforts in developing AI-powered chatbot solutions for specialized use cases.

• Senior Data Scientist with deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly using OpenAI APIs on Azure, and strong Python skills.
• The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Conversational AI, with hands-on experience in Responsible AI & compliance, and data analysis.
• The candidate will collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to build and optimize a shopping assistant chatbot.
• Responsibilities include prompt engineering, implementing LLM-based agents, ensuring reliability and hallucination prevention, working with A/B testing frameworks, applying Responsible AI principles, conducting EDA, and guiding cloud engineering teams on infrastructure needs.

• LLMs: OpenAI APIs on Azure
• Languages: Python
• Key Tools & Methods: Function Calling, Prompt Engineering, Hallucination Prevention, Responsible AI & Compliance, A/B Testing, Data Analysis

• Expertise in LLMs.
• Advanced Python for AI workflow integration and optimization.
• Experience developing AI agents using function calling to interact with external tools/databases.
• Understanding of Responsible AI & compliance best practices.
• Background in NLP and Conversational AI development.
