Role Overview
- Drive development, integration, and deployment of AI/ML powered capabilities across CHAOS' product lines.
- Translate advanced AI research into tangible, real world, shippable software, especially for defense applications.
- Demonstrate a strong record of academic excellence and creative use of AI/ML in actual products.
- Experience in regulated or mission driven sectors such as aerospace, defense, or critical infrastructure is a big plus.
- Self driven, rapid learner with ability to work independently and collaborate with cross functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Learn quickly by reviewing existing code and documentation.
- Productize AI models ensuring robustness, interpretability, testability, and performance in adversarial, low power, GPS denied, or edge deployed environments.
- Manage time across meetings and execution while spending sufficient time learning.
- Travel 10-20% (mostly domestic) if required.
- Work on site at least 2 days per week in San Francisco; 2-4 days preferred.
Minimum Requirements
- BS/MS + 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with Python, model serving infrastructure, and model lifecycle management.
- Experience building, testing, and supporting production grade systems.
Preferred Requirements
- Committed to one or more open source projects.
- Experience building AI agents using LangChain or LangGraph.
- Experience with analog or digital RF signal processing.
- Exposure to drones or moving target tracking.

Salary Range
Targeted base compensation: $120,000 - $150,000. This reflects only base salary; additional earnings include bonus, equity, and benefits. Actual offer may vary based on experience, education, and business considerations.
