Job Description:The client is looking for an engineer with 11-15 years of experience. The role involves providing assessments of technical and operational practices based on leading industry standards specific to the requested technology.
Complete Description:The contractor shall provide an RF Engineer with at least five years of experience working at a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). The RF Engineering Consultant will be responsible for working with LMR radio systems, software, and programs. Responsibilities include designing and testing radio code plugs, validating radio and system performance, and evaluating new communication devices.
The RF Engineering Consultant will perform technical work in Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and wireless communications system engineering, design, and implementation. Responsibilities include program review, compliance with licensing regulations, requirements gathering, design review, change management, and final acceptance of systems. Duties also include RoIP system engineering and radio code plug design and programming. The consultant will conduct short and long-term planning to meet communication requirements and perform hardware/software analysis to assess performance characteristics within existing systems.
