Senior Java PL/SQL Developer/AI role at PlanIT Group, LLC

Client is seeking a Senior level technical or business area expert in one or more disciplines called upon to address a particular task or environment need. As a technical expert, provides advice and assistance in state-the-art software/hardware solutions involving hardware of various capacities, multiple operating environments, database management systems specialized software, data communications facilitator and protocols including Value Added Networks, fourth generation technologies, and complex software tools or packages. As a business expert, works with senior client officials to identify enterprise improvement goals, assess organizational and process effectiveness, and implement change strategies. Designs technical and business solutions, mentors and trains client staff, and oversees implementation. Possesses a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to studying and analyzing system's needs, systems development, and systems process analysis, design and re-engineering. Skilled and experience related to business management, systems engineering, operations research, and management engineering. Typically, has specialization in a particular technology or business application. Keeps abreast of technological developments and industry trends.

• Create and maintain web pages using Oracle MOD PL/SQL packages
• Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements
• Extensive Oracle database experience
• Modify existing batches to incorporate new functionalities
• UNIX Shell scripting
• Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans
• Perform code reviews and bug fixing
• Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages
• Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approaches to ensure compliance across the team
• Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems
• Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team
• Provide round-the-clock support as needed for the assigned tasks
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for enhanced productivity

• Experience deploying Python applications in cloud service production environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), potentially leveraging containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of Software Engineering Best Practices: version control (Git), writing clear and testable code, participating in code reviews, and using CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Data Science Best Practices: data pipelining, feature engineering, or creation of Machine Learning Models
• Familiarity with Cloud-based Data Science Services and Proficiency using managed AI/ML services provided by cloud platforms
• 8+ years of IT experience
• 8+ years of PL/SQL development experience
• UNIX, MS Windows Server experience
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, Java (Spring Framework), PL/SQL, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, SQL Developer, JDeveloper, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux
• Expertise in creating and maintaining complex PL/SQL code/packages spanning multiple schemas
• Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolve issues or identify new requirements
• Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
• Attention to detail, ability to perform in high-pressure situations
• Independent and team work capability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
• Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge
• Ability to oversee direct reporting resources or be responsible for all staff on a given job

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)

• Pass client-mandated clearance processes including drug screening, criminal history check, and credit check.
• Drug screening is provided by the agency after resume approval and interview success.
• Interim clearance may be granted with final clearance required for continued employment.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
• Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years (military service excluded).
