What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Architect and scale core observability systems, including logging, metrics, and tracing pipelines
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance the observability posture
- Mentor a growing team of infrastructure engineers and share best practices
- Optimize performance and costs of large-scale data pipelines and storage
- Extend observability to AI features by instrumenting prompts and model calls
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years focused on observability or infrastructure at scale
- Proven experience implementing and running production-grade logging, metrics, or tracing systems
- Proficiency in distributed systems concepts, data streaming pipelines, and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong knowledge of tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry
- Ability to communicate technical trade-offs and architectural plans effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating across multiple teams
- Comfort with programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java for building observability tooling
