seeking a Cyber Security Analyst Onsite in Northern Detroit, MI. Overview: Are you looking to grow your cybersecurity career in a collaborative, hands-on environment? We are hiring a Cyber Security Analyst to support and strengthen our security program at our Northern Detroit location. This onsite contract position is perfect for someone early in their cybersecurity journey and eager to gain real-world experience alongside seasoned professionals. In this role, you'll assist in managing security tools, building documentation, supporting awareness campaigns, and contributing to our incident response efforts. You will be mentored by an experienced cybersecurity leader while gaining exposure to a wide array of technologies, platforms, and processes. Duties Include: Work directly with a senior cybersecurity specialist to support day-to-day security operations and projects Create and update critical documentation like policies, procedures, and incident playbooks Help roll out monthly security awareness training and phishing simulations across the organization Learn and support monitoring of key security platforms including SIEM and EDR tools Analyze alerts, assist with threat triage, and escalate risks to the appropriate teams Participate in incident response-note-taking, evidence collection, and investigation summaries Help identify process gaps and propose improvements to strengthen our cybersecurity posture Keep documentation organized, current, and accessible to the team Bachelor's degree in IT, Security, or a related field - or hands-on experience plus relevant training/certifications Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux), networks, and cyber threats A strong interest in cybersecurity and willingness to learn by doing Solid writing and documentation skills, with attention to detail A proactive mindset, ability to follow structured processes, and willingness to take direction Comfortable taking initiative and collaborating in a team environment Able to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Open to feedback, adaptable, and capable of keeping pace in a fast-moving space Willing to participate in on-call rotation for critical incident support if needed Nice-to-Have Experience: Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ITIL, or related credentials Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Defender, CrowdStrike, or SentinelOne Exposure to Microsoft 365 security features, ticketing systems, or threat intel platforms Important Details: This is a 100% onsite role based in Northern Detroit, MI We are looking for someone who will grow with us, take ownership of their work, and bring energy to our mission
