Job Title: CNC Programmer
Location: Billerica, MA
Shift: 1st shift
Pay: 30/hr to 45/hr - Based on Experience

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs to produce precision-machined components that meet quality and production standards. The ideal candidate has strong programming experience, a solid understanding of machining processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with machinists and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and modify CNC programs for mills and/or lathes using CAM software
  • Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications
  • Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
  • Set up and prove out new jobs on CNC machines
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing programs to improve efficiency and reduce scrap
  • Work closely with machinists and engineers to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain accurate documentation and revision control
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code
  • Experience with 3-axis and/or 5-axis machining preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working with tight tolerances
Preferred Experience
  • Experience programming multi-axis mills or Swiss-style lathes
  • Knowledge of various materials including aluminum, stainless steel, and exotic alloys
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience

Pay Details: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour
